Immigrants and the Child Welfare System: Current Issues Facing Dependency Judges (March 2010)
This presentation was given at the National Conference on Juvenile and Family Court Law and was organized by the Migration and Child Welfare National Network. The workshop addressed the issues and resources available for court staff when making permanency decisions for immigrant children. Topics included detained parents in removal proceedings, potential relief options, repatriation and international placement, and unaccompanied immigrant children in federal custody.
