Immigration and Language Guidelines for Child Welfare Staff, 2nd edition
New York City Administration for Children's Services has produced a helpful 20-page pamphlet to assist child welfare staff on working with immigrant families. The pamphlet includes a brief overview of immigration and language issues to meet Executive Order 41 which provides child welfare services to children and families without regard to immigration status. The back page of the pamphlet is a language identification guide in over 20 languages, with a reference list of New York City agencies who can provide assistance to immigrants.
